Big news in Motocross over the weekend!

The 97th running of the Indianapolis 500 took place Sunday, May 26th, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.  The race consists of Thirty-three IZOD IndyCar Series driving the 500 mile, 200 lap race.   Troy Lee Designs was the company of choice for custom helmet design and paint to some of the world’s fastest racers participating in this legendary event.

Seven-time Supercross champion, Jeremy McGrath also has a sucessful weekend at the Southern California stop of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series.  The race began with a rough start as he had to end his race early on Saturday due to issues with his oil pump belt.  But McGrath finished strong on Sunday after the Stronghold Motorsports crew made some quick fixes, placing The Water Warden/Loctite #2 Pro 2 up to 4^rd place.

“We had an up and down weekend! Saturday was a bummer but Sunday’s race was just awesome! I went out with a win or crash attitude and came from the back to one spot off the podium! I was very happy with Sunday’s performance!” said McGrath.

This Saturday, April 6th, mark your calendars and plan on attending the Troy Lee Designs / Lucas Oil / Honda Race Team “Press Day” event at Glen Helen Raceway.

As the team riders prepare for the remaining West Coast Supercross rounds and for their assault on the Lucas Oil Nationals, media members and team sponsors will have immediate access to the riders for video, photos and interviews.

Cole Seely, Christian Craig, Jessy Nelson and amateur sensation Moto Brew is posting a $2000 purse for the Pro Class [30 minutes plus 2 lap motos] this weekend, and will also be providing free beer under the TLD awning. Troy Lee and the TLD crew will also be BBQing on site, flipping burgers and hotdogs for all in attendance.

“It’s been nice to kind of regroup during this break,” says team owner Troy Lee. “We have our pro team getting ready for the nationals and the last few rounds of supercross and our amateur guys are focusing on their championship events. We’re stoked to get everybody together and let them help each other. And it’s always more fun with Moto Brew!”

Behind-the-Scenes with Drew Chadwick of Emblem 3

Los Angeles-based agency Lynch Archer PR Entertainment has your exclusive behind-the-scenes with one of the world’s hottest bands, X-Factor’s Emblem 3, brought to you by Transworld Motocross.

Drew Chadwick of Emblem 3 sits down with Transworld to discuss their recent rise to fame.  As Drew explains in the video, Cheryl Lynch happened to see the boys playing a local show and saw something special in them.  Eventually she brought them to X-Factor, after which they had amazing success and have now signed to Columbia records! Drew and bandmates Wesley & Keaton Stromberg are now currently in the studio working on their album!

Drew also takes the time to talk about his second love, motorcycles.  He explains how he used to ride them around his hometown and now with his recent fame, he was able to meet the likes of Jeremy McGrath and Troy Lee, who had the boys of Emblem 3 play a few Supercross rounds last year.

Between the interview you can see clips of Chadwick riding around Milestone MX in Riverside, California doing some laps around the track and having fun with the TLD crew.
